the marriage was performed in Freehold Borough, or if a birth took place in
the Borough.

How can I get rid of a pile of brush and limbs in front of my
house?

for pickup of brush and limbs.
Where can I dispose of grass clippins on my property?
Unfortunately, there is no place in Monmouth County which will
accept grass clippings for recycling. Residents are encouraged to use the
clippings for composting.

What should I do if there is excessive noise in my
neighborhood such as horns honking, barking dogs, car stereos, etc.?

TAX DEPARTMENT
Why haven’t I received my tax bill for the current quarter?
Tax bills are sent out once a year during the month of July.
Bill are due quarterly February, May, August and November.
TRASH/RECYCLING COLLECTION
What do I do if the Garbage Collector fails to pickup my trash or
recycling?
Call the Recycling Coordinator at 732 462-4200.
When can I place my trash out at the curb?
Trash and recycling may be placed at the curb after 8:00 pm on
the evening before your regular collection day.
How can I discard of bulk items such as furniture, mattress,
etc.?
You may place up to 3 bulk items out with your second trash
collection of the week (Thursday or Friday) The driver will not stop if there
are more than 3 bulk items at the curb.

What about appliance disposal?
The
fee for appliances which contain freon (refrigerators, freezers, air
conditioners), is $70.00.
For appliances which do
not contain freon such as washers and dryers, the fee is $35.00.
Once the
fee is paid, the appliance will be picked up on the following Wednesday. The
resident is required to place the appliance at the curb, and in the case of
freezers or refrigerators, the doors must be removed and placed at the curb
with the appliance. Checks should be made payable to the Borough of Freehold,
and may be mailed or brought to the Municipal Building, 51 W. Main St.
How can I get rid of paint cans and other chemical substances?
For latex paint, open the cans and allow them to dry out?

CONCERNS
How can I get rid of a diseased tree in front of my house?
Shade trees located between the street and the sidewalk of a property are the
property of the Borough and are maintained by the Shade Tree Commission. Call
the commission at (732) 462-4200 to report any problems you may be
experiencing with the trees.
