Freehold Borough is governed by six
council members and a mayor. Council members are elected for a three
year term and the mayor is elected for a four year term. The governing
body is empowered to adopt local ordinances and pass resolutions. The
governing body conducts all of its business during monthly meetings open to
the public. |

are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Council chambers on the first Monday of the
month. Workshop meetings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the third Monday of
the month. The agenda is available for public inspection before each Council
meeting. The minutes are available to the public following approval by
Mayor and Council.
